Super Summer Mani

Let's see....what do I have for you tonight?  I have a super bright pale yellow neon-ish Orly and a pretty China Glaze teal.

I love bright colors.  And this Orly Key Lime Twist was right up my alley!  With a name like Key Lime Twist, you'd think it would be more of a green color.  I think it is more of a yellow.  Without a flash, I can see the green , without flash, yellow.  Key Lime Twist is opaque in 2 coats but with some cremes, you have to watch out you don't swipe away some of the color and leave a bald spot.

I thought that a little blue green added to this to add a pop. Sexy in the City was great choice.  As you can tell from the flash, it doesn't look like I got a second coat on my middle finger!  Ooops!  I may not have.  I do like how it looks with the yellow though.

Not sure what color I'll do next. It'll be a surprise for both of us as my nails a bare!

* I'm sure some who read my blog may have comments about my clean up (or lack of) and I'd like to mention that I have tremors in my hands and am not always the neatest with my manis.  It's not on purpose!  I do try to clean up as best as I can!  ;)

Have a great day!

I Thought I had a New Polish to Replace My Favorite One!

Tonight, I have 2 polishes to show y'all.  I picked up China Glaze Caribbean Temptation because it reminded me of my most favoritest color ever:  Sation Tiki Punch (left).  Side by side, there is a definite difference. With one coat (which, of course, I didn't take a pic of) I thought YAY!  I found a replacement!  Caribbean Temptation has a color shift of a bluish tint.  Really pretty!  Tiki Punch does not have any color shifts.

In the picture on the left, you can see the color shift of Caribbean Temptation, except on my ring finger, I  applied Tiki Punch to that finger.  I thought I had a close up of the 2 fingers but I have no idea what happened to it!  My phone must have eaten it!  The second picture is, of course, outside.

Caribbean Temptation was opaque in 3 coats and Tiki is opaque in 2.  Both dry pretty fast.

I think I still love my Tiki Punch but the Caribbean Temptation is a very close second!

Of anyone likes the Caribbean Temptation, let me know, I for some reason bought it twice!!  Message me!

Ragnar helping me with my mani shot!

Have a great day, y'all!  <3

Sally's Clearance Haul

I managed to get in on a few of the clearance polishes at Sally's this weekend!  YAY!!!  I picked uo a few China Glaze, Finger Paints and an Orly.  The China Glazes are Caribbean Temptation, Sexy in the City and Japanese Koi (neon orange).  The Finger Paints are One in a Melonand Sweet Spring.  And last but not least, Orly Key Lime Twist. The polishes were either $2.99 and $4.50.

I polished my nails with the China Glaze Sweet Spring.  It is a pretty pale pink.  I am amazed with this polish!  It has super shiny finish to the polish!! In the picture, I do not have a top coat on my nails!!   It was opaque in 3 coats and dried fairly quickly.  In less than an hour, it is dent proof after 3 coats.  I consider that pretty great!

              No Flash                                                                                            Flash

Big difference in the color with and without a flash.   I wasn't sure I would like the color but it was a buy 2 get 1 free today so I decided to pick it up.  Most of the colors left are drab colors or serious glitter bombs.  I can make my own glitter bomb that I like more than what was offered on clearance.

I might do something else with this mani, like stamp or maybe some fancy nail art!  I'll post it if I decide to do it.  My next mani will be in the Caribbean Temptation color!

Have a great and cow filled day!!

Pond's See For Yourself Challange

Long time, no blog!!  No excuses.

So, I received an invitation from Influenster for their Pond's See For Yourself challenge.  I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.  I began using the Pond's Rejuveness Anti-Wrinkle Cream and Clarant B3 Dark Spot Correcting Cream on May 6.  Today, I have been using them for 2 weeks. I took a picture the first day, second day and then decided it wasn't necessary to take my own picture every day.  I don't want to see my face that much and I'm sure no one else does either!  So I'm not sure I can see a lot of difference in wrinkle reduction but I only had very fine lines anyways.  Good genetics from my mom!  I should say that I am 47, ok, well not yet, but on the 21st I will be. So for all intents and purposes, I am 47!  :p

Pond's asks to use these creams for 2 weeks to see the difference.  I looked thru the tutorial on the Pond's website and I was bummed that I didn't get their little tester kit to measure your wrinkles   http://www.ponds.com/campaigns/rejuveness/tutorial.html   Here is the site if you are interested in the challenge.  I have my pictures at least!  As for the dark spots, my complexion isn't even.  I have rosacea as well, so that makes my face look red at times.

Day 1

         Day 2                                                     Day 5                                                    Day 7

         Day 9                                                   Day  9                                                      Day 9

        Day 10                                                  Day 11                                                    Day 11

      Day  12                                                Day 14                                                     Day 14

Ok, so there you have it.  My skin feels nicer. Wrinkles? Maybe a slight improvement.  As for any dark spots, I can't say as my face has shown many that are very obvious but I have noticed that the dreaded age spots have started on my hands!  I will attempt to see of the Pond's Clarant B3 Dark Spot Correcting Cream may help them.  Stay tuned for that review!

What do you think?

Have lovely, cow-filled day!
